Across the Pond: Brilliant British Designers

By  |  0 Comments

Britain is home to some of the world’s greatest things – The Spice Girls, Downton Abbey, Hogwarts, Harry Styles, and these 3 brilliant British designers that a red carpet would be absolute bollocks without.

The Designer: Christopher Bailey, Chief Creative Officer of Burberry.

Favorite Burberry Look of the Year: Cara Delevingne at the 2013 Met Gala. This navy, studded, neck plunging number was by far the best look of the night. Well done, Mr. Bailey.

The Designer: Alexander McQueen

Favorite Alexander McQueen Look of the Year: Ok, ok. You know we loved Nicole Kidman’s McQueen look at the Oscars this past year, and you know we drooled a little over Kate Hudson’s McQueen look from the Globes, but we die for this insane gown Elizabeth Banks wore to the Paris Premiere for ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’. Maybe it’s something about the colorful beaded neckline and waist, or maybe it’s the feather peplum. One thing’s for sure, Alexander McQueen will forever be one of our favorite designers.

The Designer: Stella McCartney

Favorite Stella McCartney Look of the Year: Sandra Bullock at the ‘Gravity’ London Film Fest Premiere. We mean…has she ever looked better?
