Fab jewelry designer to the stars, Pascal Mouawad, has always had a hand in dressing celebrities, but now he’s doing more than just lending his expertise to our favorite A-listers. We know him from the gorgeous adornments spotted each Victoria Secret Fashion show (reminder: VERY SEXY FANTASY bra!), the classic 40 carat jewels showcased on Amy Adams at the 2013 Oscars (valued at 2 million dollars),  and his collaboration with Nicole Richie for the “House of Harlow” line.

Just in time for the big night Pascal Mouawad talks Oscars with Red Carpet 101. The artist shares his picks for best award season looks, hottest red carpet trends and also shares some fresh and exciting news.

“Jewelry is trending smaller.  Sometimes less is more.  Timeless jewelry,” Pascal admits to us when asked about his season finale fashion predictions.  Other popular trends hitting the carpet include ear cuffs and geometric shapes paired with smaller scaled pieces.

But who rocks that lavish look the best in Pascal’s eyes?  “Lupita Nyong’o looked stunning in her red Ralph Lauren number for the Golden Globes.  When talking tones, he expects that even more color will be brought into this last award show, with red continuing to reign supreme!

We can’t wait to see what the stars will show up in this Sunday!  There are so many designers and trends to chose from… ahh the life of a movie star.

After the Oscars, we can expect Pascal to work wonders for the Cannes Film Festival red carpet in Southern France.  The major event is next on his to-do list.
