Fashion Resolutions: 2013 Fashion to Keep vs. Toss

By  |  0 Comments

What’s your New Year’s Resolution? Each year we commit to starting anew, often making promises we [halfway] never keep. This year, we challenge you to set a few fashion resolutions in our game of Keep vs. Toss. For those items that just have to go, we highly encourage donating, recycling, upcycling and/or trading!

Check out our list of hopeful trend contenders:

Keep: Cheetah

E! News Weekend anchor Catt Sadler reaffirms our love affair with cheetah in this Zimmerman dress. We cannot wait to see which trends surface in the New Year, but we are pretty confident that cheetah print is far from extinction.

Toss: The Pixie Cut

Though bobs and pixie cuts were all the rage in 2013, we’re hoping celebs unearth a new way to shock the media in 2014. Short cuts were cute while they lasted, but we long for length to reprise on the red carpet.

Keep: Menswear-Inspired

Much to our delight, menswear was one trend that prolonged for quite a few seasons. And with that said, we hope it continues its tenure. Before ditching your favorite pair of boyfriend jeans or oxford flats, consider reviving the trend by adding a varsity jacket to your collection, as worn here by Beyonce.

Toss: The Uber Grunge

We’re all for comfort and, like previously mentioned, menswear-inspired style. However, one trend we wish would have stayed in the 90s is grunge. Moving forward, let’s not let carry it into the future. Ladies, get out your hottest heels and dare to go femme in the New Year. No time like the present!
